Now that we think about it, simply duplicating and respawning enemies isn’t going to make RE4 harder. Behold the chalky sweetness that is Hershey’s chocolate! Install this mod, and “Resident Evil” will finally have some realistic logic. Really, you expect us to believe a simple mist of chemicals can instantly heal any and all wounds regardless of severity? What Leon really needs is a chocolate bar, and a damn good chocolate bar at that. Just be aware that the mod isn’t perfect and you may encounter a couple of bugs. You’ll have three options at your disposal: classic Lara from the original “Tomb Raider”, the updated Lara from “Tomb Raider: Anniversary”, and the dark and gritty Lara from “Angel of Darkness”. The modder known as “Raq” went and tinkered with Ada to replace her with Lara Croft. It’s just this one was too good to pass up. We promise we won’t try to tack on too many character swap mods. In other words, you might need to exercise your ammo management before taking on this makeshift challenge. This mod will manipulate the game’s spawning scripts to where enemies will respawn when re-entering rooms and locations. With ike9000’s Purpose of the Puppets mod, you can alter the number of enemies in the game. It’s as if some enemies were there just to waste a bullet or two. Some sections of the game feel comically easy. You know, playing through RE4 again, something doesn’t sit right with us.

To gear up for the launch of RE4’s remake, we went back and played through the original, but with some mods installed. Pre-release versions of the mod are already available to download, but these versions are incomplete and feature bugs that will not be present within the mod's final version. Resident Evil 4's HD Project will launch on February 2nd 2022 on the re4hd website. Capcom could surprise us with their Resident Evil 4 remake, but that won't make Resident Evil 4's HD Project any less impressive. Resident Evil 2/3's originals are clunky by today's standards, but Resident Evil, despite its age, still feels very modern. While I have loved Capcom's remakes of Resident Evil 2 & 3, it is hard to imagine Capcom creating something that is better than their original incarnation of Resident Evil 4. For many gamers, this will be the definitive edition of Resident Evil 4, not Capcom's remade version.
